Peninsula Beaches

From Frankston to Portsea are the most picturesque Peninsula Beaches on Port Philip Bay including Dromana, Rosebud and Sorrento.

On Western Port Bay the beaches at Somers, Pt. Leo and Shoreham offer very safe swimming and lovely walks. Close by Somers is a large colony of koalas. All beaches are an easy drive from our park.

Sports, Fishing, Water Skiing

Victoria is probably the most sports orientated state in Australia. From our park you have easy access to all sports including golf, football, horseriding, motor racing and the international standard National Water Sports Centre, the venue for water skiing, rowing and canoeing.

The bays offer wonderful fishing from jetty or boat and for the more adventurous it is very easy to get to Bass Straight.

 

Windsurfing, Boating

Close at reach are two magnificent bays - Western Port and Port Phillip Bay. There are many boat ramps available and both bays offer very good windsurfing conditions.

Good surfing conditions are also available at Pt. Leo, Portsea Back Beach and other ocean beaches along the Mornington Peninsula.

 

Golf Courses

In and around Frankston is probably the best and most extensive range of golf courses in Australia with 16 championship golf courses.

Phillip Island: Penguins, Koalas & Beaches

At Summerland Beach the Little Penguins arrive at sunset. The award-winning visitors centre is open from 10am. Koalas are readily found on Phillip Island and there are great beaches for swimming, surfing and fishing around the island.

Shopping, Markets

There are large markets. Many others are located a little further down the Peninsula.  If you're looking for a bargain, try the Discount Shopping Direct Factory Outlet.

And.....

Award-winning wineries and restaurants, 5 national parks with native flora and fauna, bush and coastal walking trails, historical sites.

The Dandenongs

The Blue Dandenong Ranges have acres and acres of natural bushland with many bushwalks and picnic areas.  Puffing Billy is not to be missed; winding its way through the gullies and hills.

 

Ferry Services

Car and passenger ferry services can take you to Queenscliff and Phillip Island.
